I forgot to mention that these are very portable too. So if you want to make some for breakfast and bring some to school, simply wrapping them in plastic wrap will keep them good all day long.

Absolutely they are great for breakfast. I just had some for breakfast ;)

I typically workout in the morning so having them for breakfast is like having them as a pre-workout meal.

The pancake that I had for breakfast today included:

3 whole eggs
1 scoop ON Gold Standard Whey
1/2 cup oats
1 banana
1/2 cup blueberries
cinnamon

Glad to hear that you are enjoying the posts. Let me know if there is a topic that you would like me to cover next.

Those look great to eat. :D

You said in the article you have these as a post workout meal.

Are they good to have as a Breafast Meal? Like 2-3 on a plate In the Morning instead of a Pre/Post-Workout Meal?

I love reading these post too.

Hey Kale, thanks for another great question.

Have you discussed this issue with your physician? I'm not as concerned about the cracking in your knees as I am the pain. It would be worth your while to get your physicians opinion and see if he feels that you should see a specialist.

As someone who has had knee surgery myself as a result of a hockey injury, I know that knees are not something to mess around with. Although Orthoscopic surgery repaired my torn meniscus and cleaned up some other issues within my knee I do still live with some pain in my knee. It's something that I have to always pay close attention to. It doesn't mean that I'll never squat or lunge again as some doctors told me... I'm actually lifting much heavier than I was prior to the surgery. What it means is that I have to pay close attention to my stance and have a strong focus on the muscles at work, so I don't place any undue stress on the knee joint itself.

I can certainly demonstrate some stretches to help loosen up your tight thighs. I can also demonstrate how to use a foam roller to loosen up your legs too. Plus, I'll demonstrate some exercises that will strengthen the muscles and tendons around your knee joint. I'll try to get that all recorded this week for you.

Please keep those questions coming in Kale. I'm more than happy to support you to the best of my abilities.

PS I hope that you're making some good progress with your nutrition.

Hello.

I've been noticing that I get sharp pains and cracking in my knees. The pains on my inner knees and the cracking throughout. I go see my local chairopractor regualary every 2-3 weeks.

I was just thinking. I was told to stretch out my quadds as they were what's forming my pain. I currently stretch them by either lunging as if I do when I'm curling for my college team. or I take a Yoga Strap and wrap it arround my ankle, lay on my stomach and use the strap to pull my foot to my shoulder for a good long stretch. I know the basic stretch as standing still and pulling my foot to my glutes with a chair at my side for support.

But, are there any other ways to stretch my quads besides thes ways? I know when I squat in the gym or even bend my legs they crack in the knees. Is there a way to stop this as fast as possible before mid sping of 2011?

I'm also a baseball umpire. And believe me, the way these generations of children are growing I have to really squat almost to the point that my knee caps are about a foot off the ground when I work behind the plate for the younger ages. I eventually take pitches to the legs too, and by the end of the game. I serriously feel like I've squated my total weight of 285 lbs + the weight of my umpires gear for about 2.5 hours - bout .5 hours from between innings.

Got any suggestions for me with my knees and quads in stretching them out o I feel no pain or cracking with my knees/joints?

I'll be sure to record some videos demonstrating examples of resistance cardio soon and post them to the website for all to benefit from. There's countless ways that you can achieve this goal. You can significantly reduce rest periods and just perform weight based exercises, you can add in body weight type movements such as squat thrusts, jumping jacks, burpees, or mountain climbers between exercises, or you can add a body weight interval to the end of a weight training workout. It's basically limitless, but I will be sure to provide some examples on this site.

I also find performing dropsets to be very cardiovascular in nature. Here's an example of a dropset that works great... http://beachwalkfitness.com/blog/killer-leg-press-workout/

I appreciate you being very open with your goals Kale. It definitely "Helps me help you" (in the words of Cuba Gooding Jr. in Jerry McGuire ;))

If one of your goals is fat loss, you definitely don't have to wait until you hit the gym hard in April, you can begin today. Fat Loss is all about nutrition and diet. Begin simply by eating less today. You could easily have a significant amount of fat released from your body by April, simply by eating less and eating better.

In my humble opinion, you shouldn't be looking at what workout is best for fat loss. There's no perfect fat burning exercises. What's going to release fat from your body is eating less. You could follow nearly any workout program and if you are in a caloric deficit you will burn fat. Some programs claim to burn more than others, but when it really comes down to it, there's not much of a difference from program to program.

But, with that being said, the Lean Hybrid program that you've referred to is a great program for athletic performance, especially football, and could be a good fit for you. We'll be creating more programs that are geared toward athletic performance in the very near future and will keep the price very affordable at just $9.95 per program.

The current program that is up on the site here, "ROCK That Body" is a great metabolic booster that will help you get stronger and leaner, as will the soon to be released programs, Pyramid Pandemonium and Metabolic Maverick.

Since nutrition is so important, if that's an area that you struggle with, I would highly recommend getting a personalized plan designed for yourself... something that you can stick with.

I hope that this is helping Kale. Keep the questions coming man.

OK Thanks.

What are some examples of Resistance Cardio?

I know I lift a lot but also eventhought I play as a Defensive Tackle in football I'm severely overweight. I'm 6'1" weigh 285 lbs. At least half of the weight is muscle mass from my strong legs and pelvic area.

I just was thinking thought if I can use these types of Cardio with weights and resistance for fat loss to get to a lighter body and at the same time incorperate bringing that weight back as muscular weight withing my upper body and core. Mostly.

I'd also love to incorperate that within the strength of my legs.

How much is it for a Personal Trainer Session?

I will be done my 1st year of college by the end of April and have a 4-Month Summer and will be back to College the Following Fall.

But I also am going to be playing Football for the Windsor AKO Fratmen this Fall. So I'd love to be in Great form of Strength to play as a Defensive Tackle but also have the Body Physique of a Linebacker.

This being keep my size just change my body form with a flatter stomach and more power to have when coming off the snap of the football to get to the Quarterback.

That's the reason for the Idea of the origianl question.

Hi Scott,

Just watched the video that Laurie requested on exercises for the arms. It was great and something I shall do when I am next working upstairs.
