One of our valued BeachWalk members approached us with a great question that I am certain many of members are wondering about too. She asked, “Is a Protein Shake Good For Me?

The short answer: ABSOLUTELY! and here’s why…

When you workout, you are breaking your muscles down and they continue to breakdown for several hours after your workout is done. At the same time, you are also depleting your body of it’s energy sources and your blood glucose levels drop.

It’s the breaking down of your muscle from the workout that causes the delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS) that you feel 24-48 hours after your workout. And it’s the drop in blood glucose levels that make you feel a bit fatigued after your workout. But both the muscle soreness and fatigued can be decreased with proper post-workout nutrition.

Scrambled Egg Whites and Spinach

One of the common complaints that I hear when it comes to eating healthy to achieve fat loss is that it takes too long to prepare each meal. That couldn’t be further from the truth. The majority of the meals that I eat take less than 10 minutes to prepare and I cook enough to last through several meals.

Don’t let lack of time to prepare a healthy meal be one of your excuses. There is no reason why you should not be living in your dream body at this very moment. You do deserve it after all RIGHT!
